What customers say?

“ Best restaurant I’ve been to in… probably years, and it’s just a little family-run place in Duncan. Fresh, absolutely delicious, clearly homemade food. The Pad Thai, Fried Rice and the chef’s twist on a yellow curry were all incredible. They actually had proper kids utensils. And almost everything under $20. Can’t recommend enough. We will stop here every time we pass through Duncan from now on! ”

“ What a total gem in Duncan! We found it by accident and was blown away by the authentic Thai food we enjoyed. We were in Thailand 9 months ago and what we experienced in our bowls was full on Thai cuisine! Highly recommend stopping there anytime, it was beyond delicious!!! ”

“ In the city of Duncan nestled behind the spring blooming cherry tree, with a blink of an eye you might miss what could very well be one of the islands best and memorable authentic Thai food restaurants THAI LUMLUM. The simple menu containes many traditionally prepared Thai dishes. We were pleasantly greeted by our host who who described the menu items with patience, precision and confidence. The food arrived and it was incredible! Two bowls of coconut soup which definitely could have a been a great appetizer for four if not for the one giant patron at the table. The soup was a perfect combination of bold and balanced flavours. Our main courses consisted of “can’t go wrong” orders of vegetable dish and Pad Thai. To the delight of any diners eye the overflowing dishes arrived perfectly prepared and perfectly flavoured. The combination of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy elements were on point. Reasonably priced for an above average dish and portion size, just looking we knew we would be back. Easy parking was a bonus. Don’t blink!!! *Update - added new food pictures. Food consistently on point. ”

“ Food was good, the woman serving was increably friendly and they were accommodating of dietary needs. The atmosphere was nice. My only issue was that food was not timed very well. One person from my group was nearly done her meal by the time the rest of us had gotten our food. I'm guessing this is just cause the kitchen is pretty small and it was busy at the time. But everything else was great. ”

“ Such a great little restaurant! The pineapple fried rice might be the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. The servers were so nice and kept our water full consistently throughout the meal. ”

“ What a most unexpected delight to stumble upon Thai LumLum in Duncan, of all places, a town more accustomed, perhaps, to lukewarm sandwiches than lemongrass. The spring rolls were, quite frankly, exquisite. Crisp without being oily, almost as if they’d been fried by someone with actual pride. The Tom Yum was soulful, though admittedly tamed, one suspects the local palate cannot quite withstand the full fury of Thai chilies, poor things. Still, flavourful enough to warrant a second sip, and then a third. Pad Thai is also glorious. Smoky, lively, and kissed by wok hei, a rare appearance in this region, like a Rolls Royce parked outside a Tim Hortons. The jasmine rice, while fragrant and properly steamed, did induce a brief moment of eyebrow-raising at the price. But then again, one doesn’t come to Duncan expecting Bangkok street prices, does one? The proprietor was charming in that unhurried, genuinely welcoming way that one imagines has gone extinct in metropolitan dining. The restaurant itself is petite, dare I say cozy, but never cramped, and even the lavatory was spotless, a minor miracle and a mark of seriousness. In all, a most commendable establishment. Authentic, heartfelt, and run by people who clearly care. One leaves not only full, but oddly comforted. ”

“ Stopped by Duncan and noticed Thai Lum Lum had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. The waitress, who was Thai, was super friendly! The food tasted quite authentic — we ordered Pad Thai and Khao Soi. We asked for mild spice since we don’t eat too spicy, and it was just right. The noodles in the Khao Soi were nicely cooked (not too soft) with a rich coconut flavor, and there were plenty of shrimp in the dish. The Pad Thai was flavorful and aromatic. Prices are reasonable — great value for the quality. Definitely worth a try! ”
